I grew up in Southern California and I love it here. I love the Dodgers, I love the beaches, I love the weather. I went to UC Irvine and received two bachelor’s degrees: one in Russian and one in psychology. I did my master’s degree in counseling psychology at California Lutheran University. In between, I lived a few other places (that never felt like home) before I to returned to Los Angeles.
I did my counseling internship mostly at Foothill Family Service in Pasadena and became a fully licensed therapist in 2007.
For seventeen years, I worked for Forest Lawn. I held a variety of positions, including Grief Support Coordinator, while seeing clients in the evening. I’m proud to have started many of Forest Lawn’s programs in grief support. I left Forest Lawn in 2017 to begin my full-time private practice in Glendale.
I belong to a variety of organizations for therapists including the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, the International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Association of Death Educators and Counselors and Postpartum Support International.
